Old Anvil Gets a New Home

I recently took the time to get this anvil cleaned and oiled properly so it could take up residence in our sharpening shop. In the process of cleaning it up, I decided to look into what it was and maybe see if I could find out how old it is. I was blown away and appreciate this anvil even more now. I had no clue it was as old as it is.

Heirloom Honor

They don’t make knives like this today. This family heirloom was an honor to work on.

Handmade knife carried in Vietnam War Heirloom handed down to Grandson.

We had a customer send this knife to us and ask if we could do anything with it. When it arrived it had chips and deep notches all down the blade. They had taken it to a local blacksmith in their home town who wouldn’t touch it when he heard the sentimental value it held. This knife means a lot to the family. It would mean even more if they could use it.

Hello 20’s

As the 20’s are quickly approaching I’d like to share one of our funnest finds with you all!

We are always on the lookout for unique, functional, and even vintage knives and scissors. However, this pair of scissors literally found us. These are a beautiful pair of vintage 1920’s barber shears that we came across this past summer. I was excited to find they still had enough steel to sharpen and have been using them to cut our family’s hair ever since.
